However, when news of the discontinuation of the smartphone had hit the Internet earlier this month, the Chinese company had denied reports.
Now, it’s official. Going by the company’s forum post, revealed that this is the last chance to buy the handset before it goes out of stock.
According to the report, only a few OnePlus 3T handsets are left in the company’s warehouse, therefore OnePlus is urging interested buyers to make their purchase before estimated time elapses. Notably, the statement has no region-specific timeline for the discontinuation.
Further, OnePlus also affirmed that OnePlus 3T device will go out of stock in the UK and the rest of Europe from June 1 – less than a week from now.
Additionally, OnePlus also disclosed that it is seeking to reassure current and potential owners of the OnePlus 3T, suggesting that the handset will continue to receive software updates and support from the company. The assurance also included the OnePlus 3 handset.
In separate news, OnePlus’ upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 5 handset has been affirmed to see a summer release and the company has also confirmed that it will roll out with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC.
The handset will also offer a fingerprint sensor in the front, and come with a camera that is being developed in partnership with DxO. With the discontinuation of the OnePlus 3T smartphone, it is safe to say that the launch can be expected sooner than later.
